This truly was an unexpected surprise. Fuck, I can’t even think of the last time I thought about Liz Phair! Listening to these tracks now, I’m reminded of why she was such a rock goddess back in the ’90s. (Lo-fi!!!!)
It’s been over 10 years since I bought Exile in Guyville, and “Fuck and Run” is still a favorite song of mine, although I don’t quite relate to it lyrically as I once did. Although, it goes without saying that “Flower” is an all around classic, especially when you take into consideration the salacious lyrics:
