In college my roommate and I got into a oddly heated debate over what Victoria’s Secret model we could be if we had the chance. A lover of dark hair, big eyes and luscious DSLs, my pick was Brazilian beauty Adriana Lima. My roommate, by contrast, chose Marisa Miller, a sexy version of the girl-next-door.
It turned into a bad girl vs. good girl situation, whereby my roommate felt I was undermining the “good girl” persona. While I can see my perspective being interpreted as such, it’s merely a matter of preference, my preferring a sexual vibe that, while undeniably present, comes naturally. That’s not to say, of course, that “the girl-next-door” doesn’t have a sexual presence. Don’t believe the lies, sometimes even good girls want to be objectified.
Exhibit A: “Good girl” Marisa Miller in the March 2010 issue of Vegas Magazine.
