About

AreYouShaved.com is a sex-positive culture site for the sexual gormandizer in all of us who recognize the importance of sharing experiences and open conversation.

Sex is more than just the act of penetration, it’s an entity mixed with a million shades of gray, a union of love and lust, power and submission, strength and vulnerability, purity and filth.

I want to be the nipple fluffer of modern sexuality, here to arouse minds and satisfy those hungry for honest perspectives and answers about sex in a manner that’s respectful.

My goal is to allow a community of individuals a place that they can learn from and open up to the possibilities from the comfort and privacy of their computer. It’s not pornographic, it’s not nasty, it’s not a vice– it’s a place where together we can gain exposure to new ideas.

AYS is about setting aside social stigmas and tuning into your inner sexuality, not because you are a “slut,” but because you recognize the ever-morphing definitions surrounding sex, the importance of those definitions, and the desire to keep sex exciting.

XOXO

AreYouShaved.com Principles

1. Truth: First and foremost, AYS promises to always report the news truthfully and accurately.

2. For the People: We work for the people, not advertisers. (Not that any advertisers are knocking out our e-door…yet.)

3. Quality Over Content: Concentrate our passion to produce high-quality content, and not just crank out content to fill the page.

4. Provide a Guilt-Free Zone: Remind individuals that sex is nothing to be ashamed of and provide the community a place where they can speak and interact guilt-free.

5. Sexual Health Matters: Sex can be dirty, and sex can be fun, but sexual health and responsibility will not be overlooked.

6. Support of Culture: AYS is more than just sex, it’s about culture. We aspire to serve as a platform where individuals can learn and connect– not only about sex, but about art, music, literature, entertainment, and news.

7. Awareness: Recognize that not everyone’s sexual appetite is akin; some like it rough, some like it slow, and some like to be bound, put in the trunk of their car, and be taken for a spin. Even if it’s not our cup of tea, neither one is above the other.

8. Sexual Identification and Orientation: AYS acknowledges all sexual orientations and gender identities, and hopes to explore them beyond the scope of what is mainstream.

9. Enough is Enough: AYS promises never to write about or give press coverage to Heidi Montag, Spencer Pratt, and the likes. The world is filled with an insurmountable amount of talented individuals; media coverage should not be wasted on these two. That also means no Kim Kardashian. Not because she’s famous for having a sex tape, but because it was a shitty sex tape at that.

10. We Are All Adults: Yes, we know it’s proper to call it a “penis” and a “vagina.” Chances are, however, we’ll probably refer to them as “cock” and “pussy,” or “rooster” and “taco.” If any of these words offend you, chances are this isn’t the community for you.
